What would you do if you found out your body is aging faster than your actual age? Thatās the wake-up call I got recently when I received my epigenetic test results. Despite feeling fine, years of stress and overworking have taken a toll. But hereās the good news: in just 1.5 years, Iāve slowed my aging pace significantly, and Iām proof that itās never too late to take control of your health. Want to know how I did it and what Iāve learned?
Hello, HS100 family! Itās Gabriel Cian here, and today, I want to get personal with you. As many of you know, Iām dedicating my life to promoting longevity and optimal health through our amazing HS100 community. But sometimes, life has a way of reminding us that weāre all human and that even those of us with the best intentions can fall short.
A few weeks ago, I got my epigenetic test results back from TruDiagnostic. And letās just say, it wasnāt exactly the news I wanted to hear. While my chronological age is 42.78, my biological age turned out to be 46.3. š¬ Yes, my body has aged faster than expected. Years of chronic stress, overworking, and neglecting sleep have left their mark.
But hereās the twist: despite this less-than-ideal news, thereās a silver lining. My pace of aging is now 0.88. That means for every year that passes, my body only ages 0.88 years. Itās a huge improvement, and it didnāt happen by chance.
The Turning Point: 1.5 Years Ago
About a year and a half ago, I realized I was doing everything wrong. I was pushing myself to the limit, constantly stressed, barely sleeping, and not paying attention to what my body needed. I thought I was āfineā because I felt fine. But thatās the danger of this journey weāre on. Feeling fine isnāt the same as being fine.
So, I made some changesāserious changes. I started managing my stress more effectively, prioritizing sleep, eating a diet that nourishes my body, exercising regularly, and taking care of my mental health. It hasnāt been easy, and it certainly hasnāt been perfect, but the results are there: Iām aging slower, and thatās all the motivation I need to keep going.
Two Lessons Learned
This experience has taught me two powerful lessons that I want to share with you:
1ļøā£ Donāt Wait for Symptoms to Take Action
We often think, āIf I feel good, I must be good.ā But thatās a dangerous mindset. By the time you feel the effects of poor health, the damage is already done. Prevention is always better than cure. Take charge of your health now, not when something feels off. Trust me, youāll thank yourself later.
2ļøā£ Keep Going, No Matter How Small the Steps
The changes I made werenāt drastic overnight transformations. They were small, consistent stepsādaily habits that started to add up. And now, my pace of aging is slowing down. Itās proof that this journey isnāt about quick fixes; itās about commitment and perseverance. No matter where youāre starting from, every positive change counts.
Itās About the Journey, Not the Destination
Weāre all here because we want to live 100+ years in good health. But that doesnāt mean weāre immune to setbacks or challenges. The important thing is to keep moving forward, even when the results arenāt what we hoped for. Itās not about being perfect; itās about being persistent.
Iām sharing my TruDiagnostic report with you not to alarm you, but to remind you that itās never too late to take control of your health. It doesnāt matter where you are now; itās about where youāre headed. And the good news is, weāre in this together.
